Tennis U.S. Open 2012 - Azarenka to Reach Third Round of U.S. Open

World number one tennis player, Victoria Azarenka, stepped into the third round of U.S. Open 2012 after winning easily 6-2 and 6-2 victory over Belgian Kirsten Flipkens, Wednesday, August 29, 2012.

Compete in Arthur Ashe Stadium, Azarenka may take only 65 minutes to beat Flipkens. Although Azarenka only managed to do 60 percent of his first serve and failed to create ace, Flipkens still failed to stem the 23-year insurgency player.

Azarenka lost only five games out of two U.S. Open 2012. Furthermore, Australian Open 2012 champion will face 28th seed from China, Zheng Jie in the third round.

The victory was also achieved 19th seeded Russian Nadia Petrova, who beat Simona Halep 6-1, 6-1. Furthermore, Petrova will face Lucie Safarova, who beat Aleksandra Wozniak 6-3, 4-6 and 6-2.

Two seeded players, Maria Sharapova and Kim Clijsters will also perform at halftime today. viva
